Who is KCI Publishing BV?
KCI Publishing is an independent publishing house located in Zutphen,
the Netherlands. KCI Publishing publishes Stainless Steel World, Valve World, Pump Engineer and
the Project Preview Newsletter.
KCI Publishing BV strives to build a community of specialists in each of
these areas of expertise. KCI provides the means
and the media with which members of these communities can exchange information,
facts and figures and communicate with colleagues or clients across the
globe. Four Channels
Through four powerful channels – print, face-to-face, electronic publishing
and research & intelligence – KCI daily provides end users, specifiers,
and suppliers with up-to-date and directly applicable information. Around
the world. Any time, any place.
The channels are easily recognisable on the websites – Stainless Steel World, Valve World, Pump Engineer - through the 'tabs' at the top of the pages.
Privacy policy
KCI Publishing respects your privacy. The data you give us is used solely
for the settlement of the transaction. No data will be sold, leased, given
or transferred otherwise to third parties.
Payment is handled through a secure server, handled by Bibit. All transaction
details will be destroyed immediately afterwards; only the transaction result
will be coupled to your personal data.
Ordering
How can I search this site?
If you came to the website directly, a search box is visible at the top of
the page. You can search either the name or title of the item (should you
know that), or a keyword.
Alternatively, pick one of the brands you're interested in. You'll be presented
with a new screen that contains all topics interested for this brand. Pick
a topic, and you'll see all products relevant for that topic.
Please note: titles / articles can appear in multiple brands and topics.
How can I order something?
After you found the article you're interested in, you'll see a new screen
containing more information about the article, and often a screenshot or
picture of it. Bottom right is a button, "Add to cart". Click
this and the item will be added to a "shopping cart". You have
not ordered it yet, and can always delete it from the shopping cart later.
Be careful when selecting a subscription. You can choose the length of it
(up to three years), and you must choose if the delivery address in inside
Europe, or outside.
After you put something in your cart, you'll see a screen with all items
so far in your shopping cart. Here, you can choose if you wish to continue
shopping, or wish to proceed to the checkout.
On the checkout page, you have to fill out your name and address details.
Returning customers can enter their user name and password, and have direct
access to the next section.
Please make sure that all information has been entered correctly, as this
will be used to send the products, and the invoice, to.
You will be given a chance to review and edit user data on the next screen.
Click 'View Order' to continue.
On the Order page you'll see all items you've ordered. Here, you can also
specify a shipping address if this is different from your invoice address.
Click the Place Order button to continue.
You will be redirected to the Bibit server. This is a secure server, which
means that all data you send via the internet is encrypted and cannot be
intercepted.
Enter your credit card data, then press <Submit>. After some seconds – usually
no more than 20, but up to two minutes is possible – you will see if
the transaction was successful or not. If the transaction was not successful,
you will be given a reason for this.
If payment was successful, you will be transferred either to the download
area where you can download your papers, or to the Materials Selector to
log in. If you ordered hardcopies, they will be sent to you within two working
days (if in stock). All material will be sent by priority airmail. Please
note that delivery time is dependant on factors we cannot influence.
What about availability of articles?
All hardcopies are kept in stock. In the unlikely case that we ran out of
stock, you will be noticed immediately. Delivery time will then be delayed
for a maximum of two weeks.
Payment
How can I pay for the products?
Currently, only credit card payment will be accepted if you order via this
site. If you cannot make use of a credit card, please contact the sales
department at sales@kci-world.com.
Why does it say Bibit on my credit card statement?
To improve safety, KCI Publishing uses the Bibit Global Payment Service for
handling of the payment. This allows us to focus on our main goal: keeping
you informed always, everywhere.
Can I pay by Cheque? How?
When ordering via the KCI Webshop you cannot pay by checque, only by credit
card. However, if you cannot make use of a credit card, please contact
the sales department at sales@kci-world.com.
Can I return goods?
You have the right to return goods up to 7 days after receiving these, provided
the goods are still unused. No questions asked. You will be refunded the
entire amount of the goods; but not the Shipping & Handling costs.
Before returning goods, be sure to contact our sales
department for instructions on returning goods.
You can only return 'hardcopy' items you've ordered. It is not possible to
return downloaded goods.

Can I return downloaded items?
We are terribly sorry, but no. You cannot return downloaded items.
What is your money-back policy?
After returning goods, you will be paid back the entire amount of these goods
except for shipping & handling costs we've made. Obviously, the goods
must still be the original wrapping and undamaged. Contact the sales department

Cancellations
I wish to cancel an order that has not been sent yet. Is this possible?
We strive to send the goods within a working day of having received your
order. Until we've sent it, you can cancel the order. Contact the sales department
at sales@kci-world.com to
cancel.
… and if it already has been sent?
Contact the sales department at sales@kci-world.com.
As soon as the goods arrive, you can return them to us. As soon as the goods
arrive here, you will get your money back.
Delivery
What is the status of my order?
Unfortunately, we do not have a tracking system.
When we receive your order, we will send the goods directly – the same
day or the day after. If articles are not in stock, you will be notified
immediately. After the goods have been sent, you should count on delivery
times of approx. one week in Europe, two weeks if shipped to the United States
of America, and three weeks for all other parts of the world.
How much does shipping and handling cost?
Shipping and handling depends on where the item should be sent.

What is the delivery time?
Delivery time depends on where you live. All articles will be sent by Priority
Airmail.
In general, delivery time to destinations within Europe take up to one week;
to the United States of America, two weeks, and to all other parts of the
world, three weeks.
Can I receive papers / pdfs on CD instead of downloading them?
Currently that is not an option. We are looking into the possibilities of
